From a software development point of view, it is a bad idea to add functionality to an already officially released version.
Needless to say that users will not have a clue that the release notes were updated… Just a bad practice from Nikon and I hope they will not do it again. I do not know how far back they went to update the release notes, but the Z6II camera still doesn’t have support for the new 400mm Z lens.
